SKEOULOID's android side is more adept in cheery, happy rhythms, while their human side will appear for stronger and more emotional elegies.
It is important to note that both of SKEOULOID's sides are two halves of one whole, and are not necessarily two separate beings.īoth sides achieve prominence depending on SKEOULOID's overall mood and the songs they sing. Their humanoid half is sullen and fierce, a bleary human singer already corroded by the dissonance of the world. Their android half is bubbly and hyper, a mechanically-powered idol who loves to sing. SKEOULOID's personality is turbulent, and remains dependent on the polar characteristics of their humanoid and android halves. 1SKEOULOID's human eye is white with a black ring, and they (5'1) are slightly taller than their CV counterpart (5'0). 1SKEOULOID shares the same design features from 0SKEOULOID with several modifications, including a white plastic fire hat instead of a black frame, a more intricately shaped badge emblem, and a white pleated skirt in place of the daisy skirt. SKEOULOID wears black leggings under tall gray and white boots with a light daisy petal-like skirt, bearing dark accents near the lower edges and a small ribbon bow at the waistband.ġSKEOULOID's design is utilized as the standard face image for the SKEOULOID mascot and all usages of the voice library. Over a black, long-sleeved shirt, SKEOULOID wears a cropped T-shirt that is half white and half gray respectively, along with white LED panel sleeves.
right side of their face is made up of an android faceplate with a drawn dot eye and half-smile, while their functioning human left eye and skin reside on the left, their pupil being black. This name is often used to compliment the association with onionloid, another one of skeou's published voicebanks.ĠSKEOULOID wears a wrapped gray-and-white headscarf as hijab and a round black frame in the shape of a fire hat, featuring a badge emblem with a quarter note. SKEOULOID is sometimes referred to as "rayloid", derived from the provider's nickname and in reference to a derivative of skeou's persona known as Raydayo. The software name "SKEOULOID" is derived from the voice provider "skeou" and 'loid' from VOCALOID. SKEOULOID inherits primarily monochrome visuals along with voicebank naming conventions that implement binary code and other computer/android-related aspects. Elements from skeou's persona as well as from popular VOCALOID and UTAU characters (namely Hatsune Miku, Kasane Teto, and Uta Utane) were subsequently considered during the development of SKEOULOID. SKEOULOID was intended to resemble the basic, simplistic, and relatively monotone sound of the original CV voicebank while posing as an cyborg derivative of the voice provider's illustrated persona. 1SKEOULOID's official release occurred on August 18, 2022. This SKEOULOID voicebank is notably more expressive in nature in comparison to the CV SKEOULOID voicebank. On June 22, 2022, the development of SKEOULOID's first VCV voicebank, 1SKEOULOID, began. Both of these voicebanks were created with skeou's friends as the voice providers and as additional practice with voicebank creation before continuing the SKEOULOID project.
On May 6 of the same year, SAMUELOID was released, and then on June 17, onionloid was released. The beta release of SKEOULOID occurred on January 13, three days after the start of development.Īfter the first stable release of SKEOULOID's CV voicebank in February, skeou went out to work on other voicebanks apart from SKEOULOID. Development for the bank started on January 10, 2022, and was created mostly on UTAU-Synth, the macOS version of the UTAU software. Next, we’ll download OREMO, the software you’ll use to record your voicebank.ĭownload the official English version here:Īnd then we’ll download SetParam, the software you’ll use to oto your voicebank (again, more on “oto” later).SKEOULOID was the first UTAU voicebank to be created and published by skeou. Now, if you open UTAU, everything should be in English!! It’ll ask you if you want to replace or merge the two “res” folders together. Opening the UTAU folder, you see that there is also a “res” folder in there.Ĭopy-paste the “res” folder in the zip file to the UTAU folder. Navigate your file directory until you find where you downloaded UTAU (probably “C:/Program Files (x86)/UTAU” or something similar to that). Since you’d most likely want UTAU to be in English, download this patch:Įxtract, and you’ll see there is a “ res” folder in the zip file. To download UTAU, go to the official site:ĭownload the most recent version (most likely the “ v0.4…” etc.
